It's a busy few months ahead for the Africa travel industry, with registrations now open for several major trade shows. Here are some of the most notable events:

OurAfrica.Travel: Kicking things off will be the fifth edition of the digital event OurAfrica.Travel, running Feb. 5 to 9. The online platform facilitates networking and appointments between over 400 buyers and 200 exhibitors of African tourism products and services.

"The show was born during lockdown to support the industry through the toughest of times. It was designed to be both affordable and accessible to all and offers an invaluable opportunity for travel agents and tour operator around the world to connect with hotels, lodges, resorts and other suppliers based in Africa and her Indian Ocean islands," organizers said.

Attendees of WTM Africa 2024 are welcome to explore a series of related events running concurrently at the Cape Town International Conference Centre at no extra charge. We Are Africa: This show, May 6 to 9 in Cape Town, brings together a carefully curated selection of senior-level, high-end African suppliers from all across the continent, who offer a diverse range of African experiences.

A prescheduled appointment system gives buyers 20-minute meetings with senior decision-makers from the continent's leading high-end travel brands. Buyers are also given the opportunity to get first-hand experience with supplier products by being hosted by Cape Town-based partner hotels or by taking part in one of our various pre-and-post tour programs.

"With a shared mission to transform and rebrand African travel for the global luxury market, the We Are Africa tribe celebrates the continent's diversity, unsurpassed beauty and incredible opportunity," said representatives.

Africa's Travel Indaba: From May 14 to 16, tour operators can connect with new markets at Africa's largest travel trade show, Africa's Travel Indaba in Durban, South Africa.

The show gives insights into the global trends and new developments within the tourism and travel industry. It also provides an opportunity to network with key decision makers and stakeholders.

"It is the most formidable platform on the continent for you to meet face-to-face with the most influential buyers in the world, and to gain access to Africa's excellence and its endless possibilities," organizers said.

The program for Indaba has not been released yet.
