SeaWorld Entertainment Inc., the parent company of theme park brands SeaWorld and Busch Gardens, is changing its name to United Parks & Resorts Inc.

The name change is effective Feb. 12. The company's New York Stock Exchange ticker will change from SEAS to PRKS. Trading as PRKS will begin Feb. 13.

None of the company's park names are changing.

In addition to SeaWorld and Busch Gardens parks, the company also operates Discovery Cove, Sesame Place, Water Country USA, Adventure Island and Aquatica.

In total, the company has 12 park locations in the U.S. and SeaWorld Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates.

"Our new company name, United Parks & Resorts Inc., better reflects that we have been, and will continue to be, a diverse collection of park brands and experiences," CEO Marc Swanson said in a release.
