After the busiest November in its history, Harry Reid Airport in Las Vegas eclipsed its record for passengers in a single year, even before December figures were in.

The 52.8 million passengers through November topped the record for an entire year, 52.6 million, set in 2022. It assured that 2023 would continue a succession of record-breaking years for the airport dating back to 2017, a streak interrupted only by the pandemic years of 2020 and 2021.

About 4.8 million passengers arrived or departed in November, a 6.1% increase from November 2022.

International passengers, likely spurred to go to Las Vegas because of the inaugural Formula 1 Heineken Silver Las Vegas Grand Prix, totaled 265,664, an 11.6% jump from November 2022's total of 237,980. Overall for the year to date, the number of international passengers has increased by 28.1% from the same time last year, when the pandemic's global effects were still being felt.

"LAS connects the world to Las Vegas, whether that be for work, vacation, visiting loved ones, or attending a sporting or special event," said Rosemary Vassiliadis, Clark County director of aviation. "The LAS team is already focused on a busy start to 2024. In the coming weeks our community will be hosting CES and other major conventions, all the while preparing to host the first Super Bowl in Las Vegas' history."
