About Kazakhstan
Accommodations range from deluxe to basic (though the only really good hotels are in Almaty and Astana), but all are overpriced. Do not stay in private flats unless you personally know the owners and the price is fixed with a written contract. Hotels are usually clean, comfortable and more than adequate.
