Disneyland Resort has unveiled details of its plan to turn the Paradise Pier Hotel into a Pixar-themed property.

The 15-story property is scheduled to relaunch as the Pixar Place Hotel this winter, following an extensive refresh. The hotel remains open and will continue operating through the transition.

In addition to an updated lobby featuring Pixar-inspired imagery and artwork, the hotel will debut a Finding Nemo-inspired water play area featuring a 186-foot waterslide and a splash pad.

Also in the works is a "family play court" recreation area, which will be added to the property's deck and feature a variety of games and activities as well as a new restaurant called Great Maple. The all-day eatery will serve a menu of "upscale comfort food," including buttermilk fried chicken & maple bacon doughnuts and a Cajun shrimp & cheddar biscuit Benedict.

Other new amenities: a grab 'n' go coffee shop and café near the lobby and a concierge lounge.
